SiF 10Gbps Low-Power Pure CMOS TIA

Woburn MA, US -  June 5, 2013 -- Sifotonics Technologies Co., Ltd., a fabless IC company specializing in advanced CMOS analog ICs and optical components for fiber-optic communications, has announced the availability of the TA1503E high-sensitivity, low-power, pure CMOS, 10Gbps transimpedance amplifier (TIA) for 10G Ethernet and 10G PON applications.

The TA1503E can achieve typical sensitivities better than -19.5 dBm at a bit-error rate (BER) of 10-12 with a PIN photodiode, while consuming 35 mA typical supply current. The TIA is easy to use and has a flexible bond pad configuration compatible with all major TO-can layouts. The TA1503E features left or right side power supply pads, a data polarity invert function, and photodiode current mirror that is selectable to sink or source output type.

The TA1503E is available now in mass-production quantities, along with evaluation material and documentation.
